Rail Pressure Sensor (RPS): Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

    NOTE:
    • When removing the fuel pump relay, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the diagnostic tool after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

  4. Disconnect the Rail Pressure Sensor (RPS) connector (A).
  5. Remove the Rail Pressure Sensor (RPS) (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    30.4 - 34.3 N.m (3.1 - 3.5 kgf.m, 22.4 - 25.3 Ib-ft)
