Variable Force Solenoid (VFS): Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • If the VFS is dropped, it may cause internal damage.
  • When installing the VFS, pay attention to the below instructions.
    1. When installing the VFS, apply the engine oil to the O-ring (A).

    2. Push the VFS until it reaches the end of the timing chain cover mounting face and then provisionally tighten the bolts.
    3. Install the VFS with the specified torque.
