Position Sensor: Installation

  1. Check that the shaft (A) is in the "N" position.
  2. Lightly tighten the bolts (B) after installing the position sensor (A).

  3. Install the service special tool (09459-4G200) (A) from position sensor.

  4. Tighten the position sensor mounting bolts (A) with specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 28.9 - 33.9 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the service special tool (09459-4G200) (A).

  6. Connect the position sensor connector (A).

  7. Install the electric shift actuator.

    (Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "ELECTRONIC SHIFT ACTUATOR ")

  8. Install the battery and battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "12V BATTERY ")

  9. Install the air duct and the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  10. Check operation at each range of the position switch corresponding to each position (P, R, N, D) of SBW lever.
