(Position Sensor Removal And Installation)

ABBREVIATED PROCEDURE

Work H/W Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m/lb-ft) SST/Equipment Chemical etc
  • Removal 
1 Disconnect the battery (-) terminal - - - - -
2 Remove the electronic shift actuator
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "ELECTRONIC SHIFT ACTUATOR ")

3 Disconnect the position sensor connector - - - - -
4 Remove the position sensor after removing the bolts - - - - -
  • Installation 
1 Check that the shaft is in the "N" position - - - - -
2 Lightly tighten the bolts after installing the position sensor - - - - -
3 Install the service special tool (09459-4G200) from position sensor. - - - - -
4 Tighten the position sensor mounting bolts with specified torque. Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - -
5 Remove the service special tool (09459-4G200) - - - - -
6 Connect the position sensor connector - - - - -
7 Install the electric shift actuator
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "ELECTRONIC SHIFT ACTUATOR ")
Bolt 20.6 - 26.5 (2.1 - 2.7/15.2 - 19.5) - - -
8 Install the battery and battery tray
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "12V BATTERY ")
         
9 Install the air duct and the air cleaner assembly
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

10 Check that operating surely at each range of the position sensor corresponding to each position of electric shift button - - - - -
