Engine Control Module (ECM): Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the diagnostic tool when replacing with a new ECM.

    (Refer to Engine Control Module (ECM) - "ADJUSTMENT ")

  2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).

  4. Remove the ECM bracket (A) after removing the bolts and nut.

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the ECM from the bracket after removing the bolts (A).

    Tightening Torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
