Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS): Inspection

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition.
  2. Remove the ECTS.

    (Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) - "REMOVAL ")

  3. After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into engine coolant, measure the resistance between the sensor signal terminal and the ground terminal.
  4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.

    Specified Value:  Refer to "SERVICE INFORMATION "
