Console Switches

  1. Unplug connector from right front and right rear console switches. With right front switch in UP position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 6. See Fig 1 . Continuity should not exist with switch released.
  2. With right front switch in DOWN position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 2, and between terminals No. 3 and 6.
  3. With right front switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2, 3, and 6. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
  4. With right rear switch in UP position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 5, and between terminals No. 4 and 6. Continuity should not exist with switch pressed.
  5. With right rear switch in DOWN position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 4, and between terminals No. 5 and 6. Continuity should not exist with switch released.
  6. With right rear switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 4, 5, and 6. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

  7. Unplug connector from left rear console switch. With left rear switch in UP position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 4. See Fig 2 . Continuity should not exist with switch released.
  8. With left rear switch in DOWN position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 2, and between terminals No. 3 and 4. Continuity should not exist with switch released.
  9. With left rear switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2, 3, and 4. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
