Diagnostic Procedure 7

Unplug 12-pin connector from control unit. See Figure . Control unit is located in trunk, on left side. Connect jumper wire between connector terminal No. 15 and ground. If hazard lights do not flash, go to next step. If hazard lights flash, replace control unit.
Unplug remote control relay No. 1. See Fig 1 . Relay is located under dash, near steering column.
Check for continuity between control unit connector terminal No. 15 and relay connector terminal No. 15. If continuity exists, check relay and associated wiring. If continuity does not exist, repair wire between specified connector terminals.
