Diagnostic Procedure 2
- Remove key from ignition switch. Unplug 8-pin connector from control unit. See Fig 1 . Control unit is located in trunk, on left side.
- Check for battery voltage at terminal No. 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair wire from fuse panel.
- Check for continuity between terminal No. 8, and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair wire to ground.
- Unplug one-pin connector from control unit. Check for continuity between connector terminal and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check antenna circuit.
- Unplug 12-pin connector from control unit. See Fig 2 . Turn ignition off. Check for battery voltage at terminal No. 9 of connector. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, check and repair ignition switch circuit.
- Close all doors and trunk lid. Check for continuity between 6-pin connector terminal No. 4 and ground, and between 12-pin connector terminal No. 13 and ground. If continuity exists, check door switch circuit. If continuity does not exist, replace control unit.
