Diagnostic Procedure 6
- Unplug 12-pin connector from control unit. See Figure . Control unit is located in trunk, on left side. Connect jumper wire between connector terminal No. 18 and ground. If panic alarm does not function, go to next step. If panic alarms functions, replace control unit.
- Unplug 16-pin connector from theft warning control unit. See Fig 1 .Theft warning control unit is under dash, to right of steering column. Check for continuity between terminal No. 18 of control unit connector and terminal No. 12 of theft warning control unit connector. If continuity exists, repair theft warning system. See ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. If continuity does not exist, repair wire between specified connector terminals.
