Driver's Switch

  1. Turn ignition on. Using an analog voltmeter, backprobe driver's seat switch 8-pin connector. Battery voltage should exist between terminals No. 1 (Yellow wire) and No. 6 (Black wire). If battery voltage does not exist, repair Yellow wire to fuse panel, or Black wire to ground. See Fig 1 .

  2. At 14-pin connector, check for battery voltage between terminal No. 23 (Black/Yellow wire) and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, repair Black/Yellow wire to fuse panel, or Black wire to ground. See Fig 2 .
  3. With ohmmeter, check continuity between terminal No. 26 (Black wire) and ground. If continuity does not exist, repair ground circuit. See Fig 2 .
