Diagnostic Procedure 4

  1. Unplug 8-pin connector from control unit. Control unit is located in trunk, on left side. Check for continuity between connector terminal No. 3 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair wiring between specified terminal and ground.
  2. Connect jumper wire between connector terminal No. 2 and ground. If trunk opener operates, replace control unit. If trunk opener does not operate, repair trunk opener circuit. See procedures in the DOOR LOCKS - POWER & TRUNK RELEASE SYSTEM article.
