Fuel Pump

  1. Remove fuel tank filler cap. Turn ignition on. Listen for fuel pump operating noise. If noise is not present, check fuel pump relay and wiring harness between relay and pump.
  2. If fuel pump control is okay, disconnect fuel pump/sending unit connector at fuel tank. Check resistance across fuel pump terminals. At 68°F (20°C), ohmmeter should indicate less than 5 ohms. If resistance is not correct, replace fuel pump.
