Description & Operation

The multi-remote control system controls operation of the following systems: power windows, power door locks, trunk lid release, panic alarm and hazard warning lights. The multi-remote control system is inactive if key is in the ignition switch. System can receive signal from the remote control only when ignition switch in the OFF position (key removed). Signal received from remote control is sent via data lines A and B to the Body Control Module (BCM) and Local Control Units (LCU's) to activate the requested action. See Fig 1.
