Driver's/Main Switch

  1. Disconnect main switch harness connector. Using DVOM, backprobe BCM harness connector terminal No. 57 and connect the other DVOM lead to main switch harness connector terminal No. 4. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Continuity should exist. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair harness between BCM and main switch connector.
  2. Connect DVOM between ground and main switch harness connector terminal No. 5. Continuity should exist. If continuity exist, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair ground circuit.
  3. Check continuity between main switch terminals No. 4 and 5. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist, replace main switch. If continuity exists, check circuit between switch harness and BCM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
