Ignition Timing

Ensure that no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present. See TESTS W/CODES article. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off.
Connect timing light to high tension loop wire. Refer to Fig 1 . Start engine and allow to idle. Check ignition timing. See IGNITION TIMING table.
If ignition timing is incorrect, loosen camshaft position sensor mounting bolts. Adjust timing by turning camshaft position sensor.
