Check Input Signal Circuit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM wiring harness connector. Disconnect A/T control unit wiring harness connector. See Fig 1. Check continuity between the following connector terminals:
- ECM connector terminal No. 73 and A/T control unit connector terminal No 10.
- ECM connector terminal No. 74 and A/T control unit connector terminal No 11.
See Fig 2. Continuity should be present. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors between ECM and A/T control unit.
- Leave ignition off. Check continuity between the following terminals:
- ECM connector terminal No. 10 and ground.
- ECM connector terminal No. 11 and ground
See Fig 3. Continuity should be present. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors between ECM and A/T control unit.
- Check ECM and A/T control unit wiring harness connector pins for damage or corrosion. Check all circuit connector for clean, tight fit. If fault is still present, repeat step 1.
