DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives incorrect voltage from ABS/TCS control unit continuously. Possible causes are:

• Communication line between ABS/TCS control unit and ECM is open or shorted.
• Defective ABS/TCS control unit.
• Weak battery.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA monitor with scan tool. Start engine and let it idle for at least 3 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, go to PROCEDURE below.
