Local Control Unit (LCU)

An LCU is a slave unit of the BCM and has communication capability only. LCUs consists of communication LSI and input/output interface circuits. A data signal from BCM to each LCU controls the on/off operation of various body electrical systems, in addition to sleep and wake-up control modes. LCU may also send switch signals back to BCM.
