DTC P0110: Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor: Procedure
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect IAT sensor harness connector. See Fig 1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between IAT sensor harness connector Yellow/Green wire and ground. If voltage is about 5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not about 5 volts, repair open or short in Yellow/Green wire between ECM and IAT sensor and retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Check continuity between IAT sensor harness connector Black wire and engine ground. Also check circuit for short to voltage. Repair as necessary and retest system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If ground circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Leave IAT sensor disconnected. Measure resistance between IAT sensor terminals, with sensor at specified temperatures. See IAT SENSOR RESISTANCE table. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace IAT sensor and retest system.
- No problem is indicated at this time. Problem may be intermittent. See TESTING PROCEDURE under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
