DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives improper voltage signal from FPCM. Possible causes are:

• FPCM circuit open or shorted.
• Defective dropping resistor.
• Defective FPCM.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Start engine and drive vehicle at 44-62 MPH with engine speed at 1800-2600 RPM for 12 seconds.
