Closed Throttle Position (TP) Switch

Closed TP switch is an integral part of the TP sensor. Switch is closed at idle and open during off-idle throttle position. ECM only uses this signal to open or close EVAP canister purge control valve when throttle position sensor is malfunctioning. Switch also has a full throttle position used only for A/T control.
