Refueling Control Valve Test (Maxima & Sentra)

Remove fuel filler cap. Blow air into hose "B". See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Air should flow freely into fuel tank. Blow air into hose "A". Air should not flow. Using a hand pressure pump with a vacuum "T", apply 2.9 psi (.02 kg/cm2 ) pressure to hoses "A" and "B". Air should not escape. If operation is not as specified, replace fuel tank and control valve. If operation is as specified, test is complete.
