Test 2: ASCD Main Switch Check
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between terminal No. 1 (Orange/Blue wire) and terminal No. 4 (Black wire) at ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. See Fig 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check the following and repair as necessary:
- Faulty fuse No. 11 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
- Open or short in wiring harness between fuse and ASCD MAIN switch.
- Faulty ASCD MAIN switch ground circuit.
- Check ASCD MAIN switch. See SWITCHES under COMPONENT TESTS. If ASCD MAIN switch is defective, replace ASCD MAIN switch. If ASCD MAIN switch is okay, perform TEST 3: ASCD HOLD RELAY CIRCUIT CHECK .
