NOTE:
Cooling fan can also be diagnosed using appropriate self-diagnostic trouble shooting codes. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set when a cooling fan problem arises. See
appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
NOTE:
The term ECM refers to ECCS control unit. ECM controls cooling fan operation based on inputs from coolant temperature sensor and A/C switch.
