DTC P1605: A/T Diagnostic Communication Line: Procedure

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM and TCM harness connectors. See Figure. TCM is located under left side of instrument panel. Check continuity of Yellow/Green wire between TCM harness connector terminal No. 15 and ECM harness connector terminal No. 7. See Figure and Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Yellow/Green wire.
  2. No problem is currently indicated. Problem may be intermittent. See TESTING PROCEDURE under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
