Abs/TCS Control Unit Circuit Check (A/T With TCS, Maxima)

  1. Check connector. Turn ignition switch "OFF". Check terminal and connector of ABS/TCS control unit for damage, bent or loose connections (control unit side and connector side). If terminals and connections are okay, go to next step. If terminals and connections are not okay, repair terminals and connections.
  2. Check harness for open circuit. Turn ignition switch "OFF". Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit connector. Check resistance between ABS/TCS control unit harness connector (E171), terminals No. 30 and 29, terminal side. See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. If resistance is 54-66 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 54-66 ohms, repair harness between ABS/TCS control unit and harness connector (E81). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
