DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: If DTC confirmation procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

Using CONSULT-II Or GST

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode.
  3. Wait at least 10 seconds. If the result is NG, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If OK, go to next step.
  4. Check COOLAN TEM/S value. If COOLAN TEM/S is less than 140°F (60°C), the result will be okay. If COOLAN TEM/S is more than 140°F (60°C), go to next step.
  5. Cool engine down until COOLAN TEM/S is less than 140°F (60°C).
  6. Wait at least 10 seconds.
  7. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
