DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
If DTC confirmation procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test. Always perform test at a temperature of 41°F (5°C) or more.
Using CONSULT-II
- Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds.
- Start engine and let it idle for at least 70 seconds.
- Select PURG FLOW P0441 of EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM in DTC CONFIRMATION mode using CONSULT-II.
- Touch START. If COMPLETED is displayed, go to step 7. If COMPLETED is not displayed, go to next step.
- Testing will be displayed on the CONSULT-II screen when the following conditions are met. See Fig 1. Maintain the conditions continuously until TESTING changes to COMPLETED. This will take at least 35 seconds. If TESTING is not changed for a long time, retry from step 2.
- Ensure that OK is displayed after touching SELF-DIAG RESULTS. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If NG is not displayed, system is okay at this time.
