DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

  1. Start engine. Drive vehicle according to driving patterns. See SYSTEM READINESS TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Stop vehicle. Select MODE 1. If SRT of EVAP system is not set yet, go to next step. If SRT of EVAP system is set, result will be okay.
  3. Turn ignition switch off and wait at least 10 seconds.
  4. Start engine. Drive vehicle again according to driving patterns. See SYSTEM READINESS TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  5. Stop vehicle. Select MODE 3. If P0442 is displayed on screen, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If P0441 is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  under DTC P0441. If P0441 or P0442 are not displayed, go to next step.
  6. Select MODE 1. If SRT of EVAP system is set, result is okay. If SRT of EVAP system is not set, go to step  4 .
