DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)
NOTE:
The following test may be performed with drive wheels lifted or by road testing vehicle.
- Start engine (VDC switch off). Read VHCL SPEED SE in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. If VHCL SPEED SE exceeds 6 MPH when rotating wheels at more than 6 MPH, go to next step. If VHCL SPEED SE does not exceed 6 MPH when rotating wheels at more than 6 MPH, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
- Select DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Maintain the following conditions for at least 60 consecutive seconds:
- ENG SPEED: 1600-6000 RPM.
- COOLAN TEMP/S: more than 158°F (70°C).
- B/FUEL SCHDL: 4.5-31.9 msec.
- PW/ST SIGNAL: OFF.
