DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Select DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. While holding engine speed at 2000 RPM, observe HO2S1 (B1)/(B2) voltage with CONSULT-II. Voltage should go above .7 volt at least once. Voltage should go below .21 volt at least once. Do not raise engine speed above 3000 RPM. If RPMs go above specification, retest from beginning. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
  2. Let engine idle for at least 5 minutes. Maintain the following conditions for at least 50 consecutive seconds:
    • B/FUEL SCHDL: 4 msec or more.
    • ENG SPEED: more than 1300 RPM.
    • VHCL SPEED SE: more than 43 MPH.
    NOTE: DTC P0132 and/or P0152 may be displayed on CONSULT-II during this test.

    If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
