Component Inspection

  1. Disconnect stop lamp switch harness connector.
  2. Check continuity between stop lamp switch terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1 . There should be no continuity with brake pedal fully released. There should be continuity with brake pedal depressed.
  3. If continuity is not to specification, adjust stop lamp switch installation. Repeat previous step.
