Fail-Safe Mode

When a malfunction is detected, ECM enters fail-safe mode and MIL illuminates. ECM controls electric throttle control actuator in regulating throttle opening in order for idle position to be within 10 degrees. ECM regulates opening speed of throttle valve to be slower than normal condition. As a result, acceleration will be poor.
