Driving Pattern "C"
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Infiniti FX35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Driving pattern "C" means the vehicle operation is as follows. The following conditions should be satisfied at the same time:
- Engine Speed - Engine speed in the freeze frame data, plus or minus 375 RPM.
- Calculated Load Value - Calculated load value in the freeze frame data multiplied by 0.9-1.1 percent.
Engine coolant temperature ("T") conditions:
- When freeze frame data shows lower than 158°F (70°C), "T" should be lower than 158°F (70°C).
- When the freeze frame data shows higher than or equal to 158°F (70°C), "T" should be higher or equal to 158°F (70°C).
Example - If the stored freeze frame data is as follows:
- Engine speed is 850 RPM.
- Calculated load value is 30 percent.
- Engine coolant temperature is 176°F (80°C).
To be satisfied with driving pattern "C", the vehicle should run under the following conditions:
- Engine speed is 475-1225 RPM.
- Calculated load value is 27-33 percent.
- Engine coolant temperature is more than 158°F (70°C).
- The "C" counter will be cleared when the malfunction is detected regardless of vehicle conditions above.
- The "C" counter will be counted up when the vehicle conditions above is satisfied without the same malfunction.
- The DTC will not be displayed after "C" counter reaches 80.
- The 1st trip DTC will be cleared when "C" counter is counted once without the same malfunction after DTC is stored in ECM.
