Diagnostic Procedure

  1. CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION 

    Check ASCD indicator under the following conditions.

    ASCD INDICATOR TEST CONDITION SPECIFICATION

    ASCD INDICATOR CONDITION SPECIFICATION
    CRUISE LAMP
    • Ignition switch: ON
    • CRUISE switch pressed
    		 ON
    • CRUISE switch released
    		 OFF
    SET LAMP
    • CRUISE switch: ON
    • When vehicle speed is between 40 km/h (25 MPH) and 144 km/h (89 MPH)
    • COAST/SET switch pressed
    		 ON
    • COAST/SET switch released
    		 OFF

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: INSPECTION END 
    2. NG: GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK DTC 

    Check that DTC U1000 or U1001 is not displayed.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Perform trouble diagnoses for DTC U1000, U1001. Refer to "DTC U1000, U1001 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE ".
  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER OPERATION 

    Does combination meter operate normally?

    Yes or No 

    1. Yes: GO TO 4.
    2. No: Check combination meter circuit. Refer to COMBINATION METERS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  4. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT 

    Refer to "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".

    1. : INSPECTION END
