DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.

NOTE: Always perform test at a temperature of 41°F (5°C) or more.

Ensure ambient temperature is 41°F (5°C) or Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds.
Start engine and let it idle for at least 70 seconds.
Using CONSULT-II, select PURG FLOW P0441 of EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM in DTC CONFIRMATION mode.
If COMPLETED is displayed, go to next step. When the following conditions are met, TESTING will be displayed on the CONSULT-II screen. Maintain the conditions continuously until TESTING changes to COMPLETED. It will take at least 35 seconds.
- Selector lever: suitable position.
- Vehicle speed: 20-75 MPH (32-120 km/h).
- ENG SPEED: 500-3000 RPM.
- B/FUEL SCHDL: 1.3 - 9.0 milliseconds.
- Engine coolant temperature: 158-212°F (70-100°C).
If TESTING is not changed for a long time, return to step 2 .
Press SELF-DIAG RESULTS. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If OK is displayed, system is okay at this time.
