DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
  1. Turn ignition on and wait at least one second.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool.
  3. Start engine and let it idle for one second.
  4. Turn ignition off, wait at least 10 seconds, and then turn ignition on.
  5. Repeat steps  3 and  4 a total of 4 times.
  6. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
