Circuit Description
The ECM controls the cooling fans corresponding to vehicle speed, engine coolant temperature, refrigerant pressure and A/C ON signal. The control system has 3-step control (high/low/off). See Fig 1 . When a cooling fan or another component in the cooling system malfunctions, engine coolant temperature will rise. When engine coolant reaches an abnormally high temperature, a malfunction is detected.
