Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when:

• An excessively high voltage signal from ASCD steering switch is sent to ECM.
• ECM detects that input signal from ASCD steering switch is out of specified range.
• ECM detects that ASCD steering switch is stuck on.

Possible causes are:

• ASCD steering switch circuit open or shorted.
• Defective ASCD steering switch.
• Defective ECM.
