DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of VSS circuit. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.

Raise drive wheels and support vehicle. Start engine and select MODE 1 with scan tool. VSS reading on scan tool should be able to exceed 6 MPH. If operation is as specified, system is okay at this time. If operation is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
