Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove the intake air duct. Check if foreign matter is caught between the throttle valve and the housing. Remove the foreign matter and clean the electric throttle control actuator as necessary. If intake air duct is okay, go to next step.
  2. Replace electric throttle control actuator. Perform ACCELERATOR PEDAL RELEASED POSITION LEARNING procedure, THROTTLE VALVE CLOSED POSITION LEARNING procedure and IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING procedure. See PROGRAMMING  .
