DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of closed throttle position sensor. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.

Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Backprobbing at ECM, measure voltage between ground and ECM terminal No. 56. When engine is at idle battery voltage should exist. When engine is at 2000 RPM zero voltage should exist. If voltage is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If voltage is as specified, system is okay at this time.
