DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of VSS circuit. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.

Raise drive wheels. Start engine. Select MODE 1 with scan tool. VSS reading on scan tool should be able to exceed 6 MPH. If operation is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If operation is as specified, system is okay at this time.
