Cruise Control Module: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am and 2002 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position cruise control module on mounting bracket.
  2. Attach retainer strap to cruise control module mounting bracket and press into place to seat.
  3. Connect cruise control cable slug to ribbon buckle. Do not twist ribbon.
  4. Insert cruise control cable into cruise control module until seal touches module.
  5. Position narrow cable tab into narrow slot and wide tab into wide slot.
  6. Connect cruise control cable to cruise control module by turning cable clockwise. Adjuster tab must point toward front of vehicle after installation.
  7. Connect connector to cruise control module.
  8. Install cruise control cable to retainer clip on engine.
  9. Install cruise control cable to throttle body bracket and press into place to seat.
  10. Open throttle body cam slightly and connect cruise control cable to throttle body cam lever.
  11. Connect negative battery cable.
