Cruise Control Module: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am and 2002 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect connector from cruise control module. See Fig 1 .
  3. Open throttle cam slightly to remove cruise control cable from throttle body cam lever. See Fig 2 .
  4. Remove cruise control cable from throttle body bracket.
  5. Remove cruise control cable from retainer clip on engine.
  6. Turn cruise control cable 1/4 turn counterclockwise to disconnect cable from module. See Fig 3 .
  7. Disconnect cruise control cable slug from ribbon buckle.
  8. Release retainer strap from cruise control module mounting bracket. See Fig 4 .
  9. Remove cruise control module from mounting bracket.
