ID Registration With Transmitter Activation Tool

  1. With the ignition switch in OFF position, connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to the Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Select "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".
  3. Select "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen.
    NOTE: This screen display may not appear just after starting engine or turning ignition switch to ON position. In this case, reconnect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER.
  4. Select "WORK SUPPORT" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen, and select "ID REGIST".
  5. With the Transmitter Activation Tool (J-45295) pushed against the front left transmitter tire air valve, press the button for 5 seconds. See Fig 1.
  6. Register the IDs in the specified order:
    • 2003-07:  When ID registration of each wheel has been completed, a buzzer sounds as indicated and the turn signal light flashes. See ID Registration Order Specifications (2003-07)  table.
    • 2008-10:  Front Left, Front Right, Rear Right, Rear Left - When ID registration of each wheel has been completed, the turn signal light flashes 2 times.

    Tire Position Buzzer Will Sound
    Front Left Once
    Front Right 2 Times
    Rear Right 3 Times
    Rear Left 4 Times
    NOTE: Be sure to register the IDs in the specified order, or the self-diagnostic results display will not function properly.
  7. After completing all ID registrations, press "END" to complete the procedure.
