Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".
- CONNECTOR CHECK
Check the audio unit and speaker connectors for the following:
- Proper connection
- Damage
- Disconnected or loose terminals
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Repair the terminal and connector.
- HARNESS CHECK
- Disconnect audio unit connector M43 and suspect front tweeter connector.
- Check continuity between audio unit harness connector M43 (A) and suspect front tweeter harness connector (B).

Are the continuity results as specified?
YES: GO TO 3
NO: Repair harness or connector.
- FRONT TWEETER SIGNAL CHECK
- Connect audio unit connector M43 and front tweeter connector.
- Turn ignition switch to ACC.
- Push audio unit "POWER" switch.
- Check the signal between audio unit harness connector M43 terminals with CONSULT or oscilloscope.
(+) (-) Condition Reference signal Connector Terminal Terminal M43 2 3 Receive audio signal 11 12 Is the audio signal voltage as specified?
YES: Replace the suspect front tweeter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
NO: Replace audio unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
