Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS

    Check power steering control module pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  2. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

    WITH CONSULT: 

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF to ON.
    2. Erase self-diagnostic results for "EPS".
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds.
    4. Perform self-diagnosis for "EPS".

    Is DTC "C1607" or "C1608" detected?

    YES 

    Power steering control module is malfunction. Replace power steering oil pump assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (With heated steering wheel), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Without heated steering wheel).

    NO 

    Check the pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. If any items are damaged, repair or replace error-detected parts.
