Diagnosis Procedure

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect drive mode select switch harness connector and chassis control module harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between drive mode select switch harness connector and chassis control module harness connector.
   FOR 2.0L TURBO GASOLINE ENGINE MODELS

4. Also check harness for short to ground and to power.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 2  .

NO 

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Check the continuity between drive mode select switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 3  .

NO 

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Check drive mode select switch. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION (DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH) .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

INSPECTION END

NO 

Replace drive mode switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
